Program Overview

Applicants to the Master of Science in Nutrition with Distance Learning Internship program at Keiser University must be a graduate of an accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics.

Keiser University’s Master of Science in Nutrition with Distance Learning Internship (MSDI) provides students with the education and skills they need to become registered dietitians (RD). The MSDI program offers students the opportunity to complete a master’s degree and the accredited internship.  In the program, students develop advanced knowledge and apply their newly acquired skills in areas such as nutrition assessment and hospital dietetics; nutrition counseling in inpatient, outpatient, and public health environments; and nutrition research. The mission of the combined MSDI program is to educate tomorrow’s professionals to serve as the leaders for the dietetic profession.

Students will learn to apply the highest standards of quality care when they serve as nutrition experts in interdisciplinary health care teams. They will gain experience in medical nutrition therapy, food service management, and community nutrition. The curriculum and supervised practice experiences emphasize the skills essential for professional practice as a registered dietitian.

The MS in Nutrition with Distance Learning Internship (MSDI) program is offered online, giving you the freedom to complete your didactic coursework any time of day or night you choose. The Dietetic Internship requires supervised practice rotations at a site of your choosing near your home.*  No on-campus attendance is required.
