Your Criminal Justice with Law Enforcement Concentration Program

With Keiser University’s Associate of Science (AS) in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Law Enforcement, you’ll gain the knowledge and hone the skills you need to help fill the statewide shortage of qualified law enforcement officers.

You’ll develop your understanding of the American criminal justice system, its laws, theories, and important players. As a student, you’ll study how to investigate crimes, examine criminal behavior patterns, learn about juvenile justice, and more in thought-provoking courses with outstanding faculty.

Keiser’s AS in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Law Enforcement program provides real-world experience through hands-on activities and analytical exercises, allowing you to work closely with local police academies and public safety institutes. Training in law enforcement structure and discipline will better ready you for a career working within the community to protect and serve.

During the internship portion of the program, you’ll attend a Certified Florida Law Enforcement Academy, allowing you to complete your degree while earning a State of Florida law enforcement certification. After graduation, you’ll be prepared for entry-level law enforcement positions with the analytical and practical know-how that Florida organizations seek.

The MILO M-STATS Simulator is now part of the ongoing curriculum available in the Associate of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Law Enforcement classes at all ground campuses. This tool will assist students in meeting their educational learning objectives by exposing them to real-life experiences. The interactive experience will also help students learn the importance of de-escalation techniques, an important soft skill used in today’s criminal justice field.

What Our Graduates Are Saying

Heather S.

Once I graduated, I found a job right out of college within my degree. I now proudly work for the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice.

– Heather S. , Keiser University Criminal Justice Graduate
Wayne W.

When I came to Keiser University, I had no idea what I was capable of doing. I knew if I made good grades and worked hard, it would look good on my resume. It would also show my girls how important an education was. So, I worked hard. KU prepared me for Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy and the Florida State Correctional program…I have finally reached my goal of becoming a full-time deputy, with the Leon County Sheriff’s Office.
