Keiser University’s Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies – Music Concentration provides students with a foundation in music performance, music history, and music theory. Students should select a primary instrument in one of the following categories; percussion, woodwinds, or brass. Coursework prepares students for further study in either music education or music performance.
The Interdisciplinary Studies – Music Concentration program will present students with a fundamental background in music history, theory, and performance as well as expose students to a variety of musical genres and styles. Students will develop their abilities in analyzing music based on common music theory and music history practices and apply that knowledge to enhance a musical performance. Students will also have the opportunity to perform live music.
