Program Overview

With the expansion of digital technology, businesses need professional communicators who can understand and connect with a variety of audiences, locally and globally. Health care, government, nonprofit, sports, entertainment, and many other sectors throughout the workplace rely on communication experts to connect with the public using a wide range of media channels.

Students may also choose a concentration in Public Relations, depending on their interests and career plans.

Program Objectives

The Integrated Marketing Communications program teaches the process of critical thinking and project management while developing core skills such as writing for blogs, websites, newspapers, and other forms of media. Students will apply communication theory and practice across a variety of social media platforms. Students learn to analyze digital trends, identify messaging opportunities, and develop strategies for communicating with diverse audiences.

A Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Marketing Communications will give students the skills sought by a wide range of businesses and organizations.
