Keiser University’s Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition (BSDN) degree program has transitioned to the Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition Coordinated Program (MSCN-CP), which is a five-year master’s degree. Students apply at the bachelor’s level and move directly into the master’s level portion, finishing with a master’s degree and eligibility to sit for the Registered Dietitian exam. By awarding the MSCN degree, the program meets the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) requirements for eligibility to write the national registration exam on or after January 1, 2024.

Your Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition Coordinated Program

People are hungrier for clear, science-backed guidance on nutrition. That’s where YOU come in. Keiser University’s Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition Coordinated Program (MSCN-CP) is a five-year degree program that qualifies you for the national registration examination for becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. This program transitions you from undergrad to grad studies, equipping you with the knowledge and skills for a career in the field of nutrition and dietetics.

Keiser’s coordinated program helps you understand the body’s relationship to food at a biochemical level. Your knowledge and skills provide the expertise to work in health care settings (hospitals, clinics, long-term care) or public health and community areas and food service management.  Registered Dietitian Nutritionists can work with clients, providing nutritional recommendations individually or in group sessions.  Your understanding of nutrition and dietetics guides and empowers others to take charge of their health and well-being.

Keiser University’s Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition Coordinated Program (MSCN-CP) is currently the only coordinated program in the State of Florida.* This unique program provides the educational knowledge and skills you need to qualify for the credentialing national examination for becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (on or after January 1, 2024):

  • Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition degree
  • Programmatically accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • 1,000 hours minimum of supervised practice
  • Supervised rotations in health care, community agencies, and food service settings
  • Intensive exam preparation

Please Note: Effective January 1, 2024, the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) will require a minimum of a master’s degree for individuals to be eligible to take the credentialing exam to become a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN). In addition, CDR will continue to require that students complete didactic coursework and supervised practice in program(s) accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). In most states, graduates also must obtain licensure or certification to practice. Graduates who successfully complete the ACEND-accredited MSCN Coordinated Program in Dietetics and Nutrition program at Keiser University are eligible to take the credentialing exam for RDNs upon completion of the program.
