Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Are you looking for a career that is both in-demand and can help make a difference in someone’s life? Diagnostic medical sonographers are highly skilled professionals who work under the direction of a licensed physician to perform sonograms or ultrasound exams of the human body. The images created by sonographers are used to help determine a medical diagnosis. Keiser University’s career-focused Associate of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) can help prepare you with the knowledge and skills you need to enter this rewarding field.
Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Keiser’s Associate of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography combines classroom instruction with laboratory and clinical experience. You will gain an understanding of how to perform diagnostic procedures, obtain diagnostic images, and analyze technical information. Your coursework will cover areas including abdominal, obstetrics/gynecology and vascular sonography; acoustic physics/instrumentation; and cross-sectional anatomy. You will also learn how to interact with other health care professionals and patients in a professional and ethical manner.
