Your Exercise and Sport Science Program
Ready to turn your passion for health and fitness into a dynamic career? Keiser’s Associate and Bachelor of Science degree programs in Exercise and Sport Science blend hands-on learning and real-world application to help you build the confidence and skills to succeed in the sports and wellness industries.
The Associate of Science in Exercise and Sport Science provides foundational knowledge in general health, fitness, and nutrition to prepare you to work as an entry-level exercise specialist. Learn how to design and interpret fitness assessments, guide individuals through effective exercise sessions, and understand the mind-body connection in fitness and exercise.
The Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science delves deeper into advanced topics, including strength and conditioning, kinesiology, motor development, and how the body adapts to exercise. Learn to design specific exercise programs, lead one-on-one and group training sessions, address high-risk factors, plus how to use marketing techniques to build your business.
Our Bachelor’s program offers three concentrations to specialize in:
- Applied Exercise Physiology – This path adds natural science courses (biology, chemistry, physics) to prepare you for graduate school in fields like physician assistant, physical therapy, chiropractic, or exercise science. You’ll also be ready for certifications from NSCA®, NASM®, or as an ACSM® Certified Exercise Physiologist® (ACSM-EP®).
- Pre-Professional Concentration – Designed for graduates of Allied Health programs (like PTA, OTA, ASN), this concentration allows you to continue your studies, earn a Bachelor of Science degree, and prepare for potential graduate degrees in your chosen discipline.
- Health and Human Performance – Learn to create exercise plans for everyone—from kids to elite athletes to seniors – and gain hands-on experience through externships. You’ll be prepared for top certifications from organizations like NSCA and NASM.
No matter which program is right for you, Keiser University offers you the flexibility of choosing online, in-person, or hybrid learning, taught by expert faculty and real-world professionals.
