Your Nursing, MSN – Family Nurse Practitioner Program

Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) are leaders in primary care, delivering holistic, patient-centered health care across the lifespan. If you’re a registered nurse ready to advance your career, Keiser University’s College of Nursing online Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner program was designed for you. Through a combination of rigorous coursework and hands-on clinical practicums, you’ll gain invaluable experience in diverse health care settings.

In addition to gaining a strong foundation in health promotion, disease and injury prevention, and management of acute and chronic diseases, you will learn to:

  • Collaborate Effectively: Work as a key contributor in advanced practice health care teams.
  • Deliver Ethical Care: Provide legal and timely health care that is both efficient and effective.
  • Communicate with Compassion: Use culturally sensitive communication skills to support patients and their families.

Upon graduation, you will be prepared for the Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification Examination, a required step to becoming a licensed FNP. Looking to go further? Graduates are eligible to apply to Keiser University’s College of Nursing Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program.

This program is aligned with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) guidelines as prescribed in the Essentials of Master’s Education in Nursing (AACN 2011) and with the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) Population Focused Nurse Practitioner Competencies (NONPF 2013).
