Your Radiologic Technology Program

Radiologic technologists are health care practitioners who play an important role on the medical team. They perform diagnostic imaging examinations on patients and work closely with radiologists and physicians involved in the diagnosis and treatment of injury and illness. Keiser University’s career-focused Associate of Science in Radiologic Technology degree program equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to enter this exciting field.

This degree program prepares students to competently perform diagnostic imaging procedures. You will develop problem solving and critical thinking skills, as well as practice communication skills that will enable you to interact effectively with members of the health care team. Students will receive a solid foundation in:

  • Medical terminology
  • Patient care
  • Radiographic procedures
  • Radiation protection
  • Equipment operations
  • Imaging production and evaluation

During the clinical portion of the program, you will receive training in a real-world health care setting that will help you succeed in your career as a radiologic technologist. Graduates of this program are eligible to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists national credentialing examination and to be licensed by the State of Florida to practice radiologic technology.
