Your Homeland Security Program
Would you like to aid in the protection of our country? With an ongoing threat to national security, there is a need for trained safety and security employees throughout the nation. Keiser University’s career-focused Associate and Bachelor of Arts degree programs in Homeland Security prepare students with the practical knowledge and skills to help ensure safety and resiliency for the local, state, and federal communities.
In the associate degree program, you will study the identification and handling of hazardous materials. You will also learn about acts of terrorism and the detailed response and recovery actions of Homeland Security agencies, which includes how laws and legislative actions give authority to the multiple agencies involved.
In the bachelor’s degree program, you will study management principles used in formulating emergency plans for many government agencies. You will learn how to prepare for, recognize, investigate, and respond to terrorist threats. Your courses will cover key topics such as the recognition and investigation of terrorism, catastrophic event response planning and critical infrastructure protection.
