Your Sport Management and Operations Program

Keiser University’s Hybrid Master of Science in Sport Management and Operations (MSSMO) prepares students for a variety of professional positions in the business of sports. Students develop the critical thinking skills, business acumen, and communication proficiency needed to lead a multitude of sports endeavors ranging from little league to professional sports. The program reinforces ethical foundations and professional standards while fostering creativity, independent learning, and a climate of classroom collaboration.

Students in this program develop a wide range of business capabilities applicable to the sports industry. After earning an M.S. in Sport Management and Operations, graduates will be able to apply ethical principles and critical thinking as they manage the day-to-day business aspects of a sports organization. They’ll also be able to design, implement, and manage sports events and facilities.

Through their studies, students will learn how to identify and utilize trends to effectively market sports and their related products and services to consumers. They’ll also discover how to apply best practices in sales to improve sales performance in sports organizations.

In their classes, students will assess current issues in sport management and their likely impact on varying sports organizations. They’ll discuss how the economics and finance of sports influence business decisions in sports organizations, and they’ll also learn how to use risk management and best legal practices to limit liability in those organizations.

The Master of Science in Sport Management and Operations (MSSMO) is delivered in a hybrid format, which combines the convenience of online learning with face-to-face classroom instruction.
