Your Nuclear Medicine Technology Program

Keiser University’s Associate of Science degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology prepares students to perform diagnostic imaging procedures that enable doctors and other health care providers to see both the anatomy and physiology of the body’s organs and other internal structures. Nuclear medicine technology uses radiopharmaceuticals to provide clear and detailed images of organs and tissues and to chart disease processes. These images are analyzed by external devices called gamma cameras, which are designed to capture and interpret the radiation emitted by the body during the procedure. The program offers both classroom instruction and hands-on clinical rotations at local hospitals and medical centers.

The Associate of Science in Nuclear Medicine Technology degree program offers students the opportunity to participate in practical, real-life medical settings to gain knowledge and skills in:

•    General nuclear medicine
•    Nuclear cardiology
•    Nuclear medicine therapy
•    PET and PET/CT

Graduates will be prepared for positions as entry-level nuclear medicine technologists and qualified to take certification exams offered by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) and the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
