Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition Coordinated Program

Program Overview

Keiser University’s Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition (BSDN) degree program has transitioned to the Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition Coordinated Program (MSCN-CP), which is a five-year master’s degree. Students apply at the bachelor’s level and transition into the master’s level portion, finishing with a master’s degree and eligibility to sit for the Registered Dietitian exam. By awarding the MSCN degree, the program meets the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) requirements for eligibility to write the national registration exam on or after January 1, 2024.

People today are more aware of nutrition’s role in their overall health. Yet many are confused about which dietary strategies and supplements will work best for them. They need expert guidance to make sense of the information they receive and personalized plans to address their unique nutritional needs.

Keiser University’s Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition Coordinated Program (MSCN-CP) combines clinical evaluation, food service management, and community concerns to help prepare you for a profession that focuses on optimizing nutrition and the prevention of chronic diseases. Equipped with this degree, you’ll understand the body’s relationship to food at a biochemical level and use that information to help people get the personalized care and guidance they seek.

Upon graduation, and after passing the Registration Examination for Dietitians, you’ll be prepared to help people prevent or better manage chronic diseases, identify and address nutritional imbalances, isolate the root cause of diet-related symptoms, and develop meal plans that support their medical care.

Keiser University’s Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition Coordinated Program (MSCN-NP) is currently the only coordinated program in the State of Florida.* This unique program provides everything you need to qualify for the Registration Examination for Dietitians (on or after January 1, 2024):

  • Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition degree
  • 1,000 hours minimum of supervised practice
  • Supervised practice rotations
  • Intensive exam preparation

Contact Keiser University today to learn more about our Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition Coordinated Program (MSCN-CP).

Please Note: Effective January 1, 2024, the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) will require a minimum of a master’s degree for individuals to be eligible to take the credentialing exam to become a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN). In addition, CDR will continue to require that students complete didactic coursework and supervised practice in program(s) accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). In most states, graduates also must obtain licensure or certification to practice. Graduates who successfully complete the ACEND-accredited MSCN Coordinated Program in Dietetics and Nutrition program at Keiser University are eligible to take the credentialing exam for RDNs upon completion of the program.
